Hey RERAW Nation..
I've noticed a considerable uptick in the number of agents I'm speaking with who are picking up side-gigs and looking to make a few extra bucks in between transactions.
On the one hand.. the potential distraction from selling homes concerns me.
On the other hand.. I get that having multiple irons in the fire can be a good thing..
.. as long as you know how to manage each of them so that making one income doesn't accidently cannibalize the other.
As an agent and entrepreneur (who operates a few successful businesses).. I suppose that puts me in the second camp of having "multiple irons in the fire."
I always liked the idea of having multiple streams of income because it spreads the risk out for me and my family. While I've been fortunate to not have had hiccups in my real estate business, I still find it useful.
Now, I don't have a brokerage pitch for you.. (haha)
But I have a buddy, Matt Mittelstadt, who's still selling houses like you and I for over 21 years..
And he's had success expanding an online business dealing in essential services.. keeping things tight to the real estate niche :-)
This is not a "get rich quick" thing.. but it has been a way to have some additional cashflow and not be disruptive to my primary work responsibilities (coaching agents and selling homes).
It's something that I got dialed in on because of Matt and given how it's fitting into both my world and my wife's Transaction Coordination business.. I thought I'd share it with you as well.
All that to say, Matt's hosting a Zoom call tomorrow.. Tuesday, February 27, 2024 at 1 PM Pacific Standard Time specifically for me and a select group of folks I feel like bringing with me.
