Final Fantasy 5 Book
I was able to get a copy myself on Kindle, and for anyone who was a fan of Square's 16 bit gem, I would highly recommend it.
The book is also interesting inasmuch as it is framed though the biographical details of the life of its author- Chris Kohler, of fame to many in the retro game world (through his contributions to the podcast Retronauts and his other authored works) and also the world of trivia (through his membership of the trivia panel in the podcast Good Job Brain).
Who would have thought that Chris Kohler would have had so much involvement in the original gang of Geeks that fan translated FFV in the early days of the internet, and yet that is what this book reveals, he even was part of the team that produced the first English FAQ! And so the guy has some really interesting bits of information to share on the game, its development and on its reception via emulation world.
The book also shows how FFV has become even more popular in the world of internet 2.0 as fans challenge each other with scenarios like- "beat the game with 4 nijas" or "no mages allowed", reading about their adventures actually got me to boot the game up once again and begin a play though.
So thanks to Fr. Mark Higgins for the head's up, if anyone else has spotted a book, game or podcast that might be of interest to me as Catholic gamer and a classic RPG fan, do let me know.
Be like Lisa
Today, you get to decide who you want to be.
You can be the agent who sets goal after goal to grow your real estate business every year, only to fall short every time…
...or you can be like Lisa.
Lisa attended the "Zillow Hack" workshop I did Thursday. (Lisa did this 2 months ago, but exact same training.)
Then she immediately took action.
She made 3 phone calls and set 1 appointment. Boom!
I love how surprised she sounds in her email:
What if she repeats 3x per week?
That would mean 2-3 listing appointments per week.
What would your business look like if you set 3 listing appointments per week? Do you think you could stat taking more listings? I know you could.
But are you willing to plant your butt in your office chair and make 3 phone calls this morning? That's up to you.
If the answer is "yes", then I'd be honored for you to check out Pipeline Pro Tools.
Remember, you'll need a text auto-responder to execute my Zillow hack, and it's included with Pro Tools.
Enter promo code "THECLOSE" to get...
1. $200 off the yearly option
2. Ultimate Listing Presentation course - $2497 free
3. 6 months enrollment in Elite - $2982 free
But remember, this deal expires.
-> Get Pipeline Pro Tools
Expires tomorrow at 11:59pm eastern
If you still have questions or you just want to see it, normally I would say get a demo, but unfortunately we're booked!
If you want to ask question before you dive in, shoot me a text at 910-670-7733 (my iphone number).
Thanks,

It made perfect sense when he laid it out like that...
2 days ago Fred and I were on a call with our buddy Craig Reger and we were discussing whats going on in our respective market place with home buying and selling activity when Craig shared with us an exercise he had recently done with his team and with a few clients...
The reason Craig came up with this exercise is that he had recently recognized that a lot of agents around the country were telling themselves a story that may or may not be true about their market...
So Craig asked us what the activity was in our market place.
Specifically, he asked ....
How does the last 7 days compare with the first 7 days of March when it comes to...
New listings this week?
New pending sales this week?
New canceled sales this week(sales fails as Craig calls them)
How many price reductions this week?
We then started to discuss what those numbers really mean and what we could do with that information...
Before we finished I asked him if he'd be willing to do a webinar for Next Level Agents on this topic... luckily he agreed...
If you'd like to attend (you should), there are two steps...
1) Register for the webinar NOW
2) You have to do some homework with your local numbers (see screenshot)

Create awesome listing videos in <60 seconds
What if you could feature your client's home on HGTV?
Well, that's probably impossible. But what if you could produce a video tour that looked like HGTV?
Enter stage left: Listing Cake
Listing Cake is a free web app we built to impress your clients and save you time.
Here's how it works...
1. Go to the property
2. Upload a few snapshots & short video clips
3. Choose your layout/music
Then download the final cut. You look like a movie producer, and you client gets an amazing video that they are pumped to share on social media.
>>> Use Listing Cake 100% Free <<<
Hot Tip: Try making a video for FSBOs. They'll love you.
We've used this exact strategy to book 1-2 listing appointments per week.
Listing Cake is and always will be 100% free. However, it had been acting a bit buggy for the past few months. Not uploading clips, taking forever to finish, etc.
During this pandemic, video tours are more important than ever... So our lead software engineer spent an entire week renovating this app for our subscribers. Now it's back and better than ever.
Enjoy!

P.S. - If you're wondering why we're doing this... it's the 60-Day Blitz. It's 1 year's worth of value delivered over 60 days to help you crush it while many agents have pushed paused on their business. Click here if you want to read the background and see the entire timeline of free stuff we're giving you.
Free leads from Zillow - Replay (.mp4)
Yesterday I did a live workshop with The Close on a hack you can use to get free leads from zillow.
I walk you through everything -- free tools, scripts, how to execute them, etc.
Here's the replay link if you missed it...
-> How to Get Free Zillow Leads - Webinar Replay (.mp4)
Video includes 3 free apps + 2 free scripts
As usual I will be taking the workshop down in 48hrs.
Until then, I want to issue you a challenge.
Be an action taker. Watch the video, and implement it TODAY. 80% of agents will sit on the workshop and do nothing, 20% will take action this afternoon. Which group are you going to be in?
At the end of the webinar... I discussed my lead gen software Pipeline Pro Tools. Now you do NOT need Pro Tools to follow the strategy. But it WILL make it 100x easier and more effective.
If you want to check out Pro Tools, you can get a 20-min demo HERE. We have 5 demo slots left for the entire week. They will go quick.
In all likelihood, by the time you read this email, we will be booked for the week. If you want to get Pro Tools before the deal expires, but you have questions before you buy, you can text me directly at 910-670-7733.
^ That's my real iphone number, so please don't abuse it. But it would be my honor to chat with you 1:1 before you officially "join the team".
Have a fantastic weekend.
All the best,
-Chris Jones

A Disease Of Invaders
Pandemic has taken Settlers of Catan's place as the foremost gateway into hobby gaming, and with its simple yet challenging design, engaging cooperative theme, and deep market penetration, it's earned it. In an effort to get the game to even more tables, Pandemic's publisher has re-skinned the game in a plethora of different flavors, changing the threat to a flood in Rising Tide or Lovecraftian horrors in Pandemic Cthulhu.
We've only played Pandemic once or twice, and never got around to buying a copy for our game library, so we decided to pick up the Fall of Rome version, which replaces spreading disease vectors with invading armies of barbarians intent on sacking ancient Rome. Since we have little experience with the original Pandemic we can't really compare the two, but that might be better as we can look at this version of the game on its own merits.
It's easy to see why Pandemic has been such a successful game. The rules are simple but allow for a good amount of meaningful decision making, and watching the board fill up with counters representing the barbarian hordes gives the game a great sense of drama. Players can command Roman legions to fight off the barbarians, but the real strategy is in collecting sets of cards that can be turned in to make peace with individual barbarian tribes. This doesn't stop them from attacking, but it makes it possible to convert barbarians into Roman soldiers to help fight off their former allies.
Players are also given a handful of special cards that offer great advantages in the game, but at a price. Each time one of these cards is spent for its more powerful effect, it moves the decline marker closer to the eventual collapse of Roman society from within, which gives the game another clock to race against.
The engaging game play is coupled with some terrific artwork that helps sell the idea that these are cultured Roman citizens fighting off invading armies and their own decline, rather than just colored cubes on a piece of cardboard.
Rating: 4 (out of 5) A robust and well-designed game that we will play often, and it's usually an easy sell to our non-gamer friends and family too.

Dustin Brohm On Doing Business Your Way & Leaning Into What You Love to do to Generate Leads
A conversation that's largely neglected in our industry, but is so important to agents is that there are infinitely different ways to grow a business. So many agents force themselves into a business model because it's what their broker, mentor or peers do, and the result is frustration, a lack of fulfillment or the lack of consistency that leads to bad results.
The truth is: Our lead generation doesn't just need to be outbound, we can be successful by choosing to do business a little differently, employing more creativity to inbound lead generation methods, and becoming a master of how you drive your own business.
Dustin Brohm is a man who has built his business on this from the ground up on this idea. After trying to take the beaten path, he made his own course by marrying content marketing and real estate. He has inspired agents by giving them permission to do business their way. What was his journey, and the mental shifts he made to get to where he is now?
Dustin recently told me his story and tracks the journey from the first blog posts and videos to a highly successful podcast and coaching business.
5 Things We Learned from Dustin Brohm
"One of the things that's great about real estate is that there are so many ways to bring in business"
There are different ways that you can attract clients, you just need to be open to it and put in the work. Find the thing that you can do, what you're willing to do at nauseum day in and out to build your business.
"If you do the right things long enough they will just start to work."
If you're going to put out content, that's only step 1. You need to get people to know your content exists, you need to get traffic to it and promote it, and the truth is the validation and the results won't happen immediately. You're not going to have consistent income with anything until you do constant activity for 6-9 months.
"Lean into something you enjoy doing. You'll never do the work long enough to see success if you hate it."
You can never stick with something long enough and consistently enough if you hate doing it or you suck at it. You'll never be able to stick with it long enough for you to actually see the results.
"Podcasts are a powerful medium for getting the attention you want"
There are 650 million active blogs in the whole world, while there are still less than a million podcasts on Apple Podcasts, and only 250 000 of these podcasts have released an episode in the last 90 days. There's still a lot of opportunity on podcasts, to start our own, to get interviewed and even to advertise on them. The key is really dialing in what the show is about and who the audience is. If we get the topic right, that does the heavy lifting for us.
"Short term intensity will always lose to the long term consistency"
Pick something you can be consistent with over a long period of time. Your skill level goes up when you're consistent with what you're doing.
