I send out lots of trainings, materials and communication about how you can grow a real estate sales business.
And there's a place where telling stories (in emails like this) makes sense.
But I need to call a thing or two out today that you need to hear.
I'm seeing coaches screw up agents left and right.
Their heart isn't in the wrong place.
Unfortunately, many just don't have the field experience. Or, they're so excited about the shiny new technology they can teach agents about that they fail to explore the true negative consequences it may have on an agent's business (or ability to create one).
They talk about the importance of automations but have literally zero regard for the changes happening in the email and texting landscape that are completely changing the way we need to market and who we can reach each day.
They'll say, "It's a numbers game."
But guess what?
It's not.. anymore.
Being a relentless warrior.. grinding through an eight day work week and bragging about a 24/7/365 availability is just exhausting to watch.
And really.. it's not even admirable.
Let's be honest already.
None of us got into this game to work around the clock and never be able to enjoy the fruits of our labor.
To be successful in real estate, one must walk a hard path.
It's simple.
But it's a hard path.
It's about doing just a few things consistently well, knowing how to adapt when the market changes and more than anything..
It's about having better connections.
Know less people.
Just be a better value and resource for the ones you know.
The "numbers game" just got smaller..
And you'll make a lot more understanding that discipline.
Niche down.
Add value.
Be a real person.
Earn their contact info and the privilege of being able to contact 'em.
And you'll win.
I work with each individual agent that we coach on a custom roadmap. This isn't a "one-size-fits-all" kind of business.
While there may be crossover from what works for different agents, no two are alike.
And it's about time we actually own that.

We don't let agents stray for a week or two between calls just to have to give a warm pat on the ass and reel 'em back in.
