Hey all, This whole month we are going to talk about one of the biggest factors in an agent's success or failure--mindset. Good mindset has to start with vision and yesterday we talked about how to visualize your perfect real estate practice. In order to bring your vision into reality, you will want to break that vision down into achievable goals and then reverse engineer those goals. Without achievable goals, simple steps and identifiable progress, it will be impossible to maintain the motivation needed to reach the vision. Let's start with your perfect real estate practice. Maybe you have a certain income goal, or retirement in mind. Or maybe you want your business to run without you. Go ahead, think through your perfect real estate practice. Maybe you are like Chip, the agent I spoke to last week who was already making the money he wanted, but he wanted to bring his son into the business. Let's break it down. Vision > Achievable Goals > Easy Steps Chip's vision included generating enough additional business so that he could help his son get established without sacrificing his own income. We identified that he would need an additional $150k in business income so that he could afford to pass on some business to his son. That's one immediate goal we could work on to begin to bring his vision into reality. We used a simple calculator that we developed to break that income goal down into the smallest actionable unit--the lead. It's our business planning calculator. It's free and you can use it too. Once you have the number of leads you need, then it's just a matter of stacking enough reliable marketing strategies and tools together until you are generating the cumulative number of leads you need.
